Free Mini Eraser Estimate the Jar Printable | Hands-On Estimation Activity

Looking for a fun, hands-on way to introduce estimation?

This free Estimate the Jar printable helps children practice estimating, counting, comparing quantities, and developing number sense using mini erasers as manipulatives.

Students begin by looking at the jar outline and making their best estimate of how many mini erasers will fit inside. Next, they place the mini erasers inside the jar without stacking or overlapping them, count how many fit, and compare the actual amount with their original guess.

This simple activity encourages mathematical thinking while strengthening fine motor skills and one-to-one correspondence through hands-on learning.

Perfect for math centers, morning work, independent practice, small groups, homeschool lessons, speech therapy, occupational therapy, tutoring sessions, and early childhood classrooms.
